Effective Date: 21 May 2026 | Last Updated: 2 September 2026 | Version: v1.2
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Empowr CIC website (empowrcic.org) and your participation in our programmes and activities. By using our website or booking a place on one of our programmes, you agree to these terms.
Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at enquiries@empowrcic.org before booking.

Our website contains links to external sites (including our Empowr Heroes donation platform and social media profiles). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those external sites.
Website Availability
We aim to keep our website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the website for maintenance or update without notice.
3. Programme Booking and Participation
Booking
Bookings are made through our programme booking system. A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us. Places are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed.
Age Requirements
Some programmes have minimum age requirements. These are stated on the relevant programme page or booking form. Where a participant is under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the booking on their behalf and accept these terms.
Health and Ability
By booking a place, you confirm that the participant is in suitable health and physical condition to take part in the programme. If the participant has any health conditions, injuries, or accessibility requirements that may be relevant, please inform us at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
We reserve the right to refuse participation or ask a participant to leave a session if we believe their health or safety — or the safety of others — is at risk.
Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Treat coaches, staff, and other participants with respect
- Follow the instructions of coaches and session leaders at all times
- Behave in a way that is safe, considerate, and inclusive
- Adhere to our programme-specific rules (see Programme Policies)
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session or programme without refund if their conduct is unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive.
Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds by You
You can cancel or move most bookings yourself, from your account at members.empowrcic.org. You do not need to contact us.
Cancelling a session. Cancel at least 48 hours before the session starts and we will refund the full amount to the card you paid with. Inside 48 hours, a booking cannot be cancelled and no refund is due — this includes not attending.
Moving a booking to another date. A single-session booking can be moved to another date of the same programme, provided you do so at least 48 hours before the session you are currently booked onto, and a place is available. Each booking can be moved once. Bookings cannot be moved to a different programme, and cannot be transferred to another participant.
Multi-week courses. A course place can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the course begins. Individual sessions within a course cannot be moved or cancelled separately.
Programmes that are always final. Some programmes cannot be cancelled, moved, or refunded once booked, whatever notice is given. This currently applies to Roller Quad Camp and the All Ages Roller Disco. Where it applies, it is stated on the programme's booking page before you pay.
Moving a booking clears your departure arrangements. If you move a booking, anything you confirmed about how the participant will leave the original session does not carry over, and you will be asked to confirm it again for the new date.
Refunds are returned to the card used to pay and usually appear within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank. We do not offer credit notes or account balances in place of a refund.
Monthly memberships are covered separately — see section 7 of our Programme Policies.
Beyond these rules, exceptions may be granted entirely at our discretion. To request one, contact us at enquiries@empowrcic.org to discuss your circumstances. Granting an exception in one case does not create an obligation to do so in any other case.
Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any session due to circumstances outside our control (including adverse weather, venue issues, or insufficient bookings). Where we cancel a session, we will offer you an alternative date to reschedule. A refund is not automatic simply because a rescheduled date does not suit you — however, if you contact us, we may offer a refund at our discretion. We are not liable for any other costs incurred as a result of a cancellation.
4. Liability
Our Liability
Empowr CIC takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants. We carry appropriate public liability insurance.
However, participation in physical activities carries inherent risks. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our programmes, except where this is caused by our negligence or breach of statutory duty.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that participants are appropriately prepared for sessions — including wearing required protective equipment (see Programme Policies) and following the instructions of session leaders.
5. Photography and Media
Empowr CIC may take photographs and video at sessions and events for use in our communications. See our Photography & Media Consent Policy for full details of how consent is obtained and how images are used.
6. Privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available at legalhub.pecuvate.com.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on our website. Continued use of our website or participation in our programmes following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
